Tuesday 5 September - St. Chads Organ Recital

It has been raining on and off all day. We went out to listen to the organ at St. Chads but before doing so had a quick look at the Quarry Gardens where the flowers are in full bloom.

The organist was Peter Dyke from Hereford Cathedral who played Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV 552 with four Bach pieces in between the two parts (BWV 676, 678, 680, 682).  It was very well done and I particularly enjoyed the familiar Prelude and Fugue.

We set out for a walk this afternoon but gave up when it started to rain quite heavily.

I called in at the Market on the way back and found this Battenburg cake which is larger than that of Marks and Spencer.
